U.S. Congressman Paul Broun Endorses GA State House 71 Candidate David Stover

Ranked as one of the most conservative members of Congress, Dr. Paul Broun formally endorses David Stover for Georgia State House

Jan. 23, 2013 – Today, U.S. Congressman Dr. Paul Broun, M.D. endorsed David Stover for Georgia House of Representatives District 71 in the upcoming Feb. 5th special election. Dr. Broun, who has served in the House since 2007, is consistently ranked as one of the most conservative members of Congress receiving high marks from Club for Growth, National Taxpayers Union, American Conservative Union, FreedomWorks and Heritage Action for America. Broun also serves as Chairman of the Second Amendment Task Force, Chairman of the Property Rights Caucus and is endorsed by the NRA and Gun Owners of America.

Speaking on his endorsement of Stover, Congressman Broun said in an official statement, “Georgia needs leaders who will fight for liberty and limited government. David Stover is one of those leaders. I wholeheartedly endorse him for GA State House District 71”.

“I am thrilled to have Congressman Broun’s endorsement,” said Stover. “He is a strong leader for limited, constitutional government and has been at the forefront of the FairTax movement. Just this week, Congressman Broun announced plans to introduce a bill called the Budget or Bust Act, H.R. 3883, which would remove the President from the budgetary process and force Congress to pass a budget or go unpaid. I am proud of the work Dr. Broun is doing and I welcome his support.”

Stover pledges to protect the gun rights of Georgia citizens and plans to continue his work for lower taxes and fiscal responsibility at the state level with the same conservative principles that he has brought to the last twelve years of his volunteer work within the community. Stover serves on the National Leadership Council for the TEA Party Patriots and as the Executive Coordinator for the local Coweta County TEA Party Patriots group. Stover is also the Republican Precinct Chairman of Precinct 22, Coweta County, and an Executive District Director for Georgia for FairTax District 3.

In addition to U.S. Congressman Paul Broun’s endorsement, the campaign has announced a slew of other heavyweight conservative endorsements including that of U.S. Congressman Lynn Westmoreland, Georgia Senator Mike Crane, Georgia Representative and previous gubernatorial candidate Jeff Chapman, Georgia Representative Delvis Dutton, Education Administrator and Leader Dean Demos, Georgia Right to Life Political Action Committee (GRTL PAC) and GeorgiaCarry.org.

The special election for Georgia State House 71 will be held Tuesday, February 5th.
